It’s quite the buzz word, but what does it mean and why is it essential?
Wellness expands far beyond physical health or absence of illness. It is an active commitment to pursueyour physical, mental, and social well-being. It’s about finding a balance of peace and happiness, and creating space each day for you. It’s about mindfully choosing to be calm in the midst of chaos. It’s about laughing out loud and living in the moment. Wellness is an active process of being aware of your whole environment, and making choices that lead to a healthy, happy, fulfilling life.
Tips for Improving Your Wellness
- Get your ZZZZs. Our body actively heals during sleep. It regulates the hormones related to mood and emotions, and irritation or emotional imbalance is often caused by lack of sleep.
